In the depths of my soul, I'm the greatest DJ in the world. That is my dream. I have never touched a set of turntables in front of a real crowd. I don't have a residency, a following, or a single gig on the books. And it is still true — in the depths of my soul, I am the greatest DJ in the world.

I used to think that admission was embarrassing. A grown woman with a whole business, saying out loud that some nights she's imagining a room full of people moving because of a set she built. Now I think it might be the most honest sentence in this entire archive.

What are you passionate about? When you are home, alone, lost in your thoughts, what are you doing?

I want you to actually answer that. Not the version that sounds impressive at a dinner party. The one that shows up when nobody's watching and you've got nothing to prove to anybody in the room, because there isn't a room.

Here's why I'm asking. I spent three years pouring into everybody else's greatness and forgetting mine. And in that stretch, the DJ dream didn't disappear — it just went quiet, the same way I did. That's usually what happens to the thing you're actually passionate about. It rarely gets killed off in one dramatic moment. It gets slowly deprioritized until you forget you ever said it out loud.

I'd ask you to think about what yours is. Not the goal you've told people about so many times it's started to feel like an obligation. The other one. The one you'd feel a little exposed admitting to, because it doesn't have a five-year plan attached to it yet. Maybe it never needs one.

Somewhere in your head there's a version of you that already knows what this is.

She's been waiting for you to stop being too busy, too tired, or too embarrassed to say it out loud.

I need you to actually hear that, because I think a lot of us are operating like there's a clock running out on our own permission to start something. There isn't. The timeline you're measuring yourself against — the one where you should have started by now, should have figured it out by now, should be further along by now — that timeline was never real. You made it up, or somebody else handed it to you, and you've been living inside it like it's law.

Never 2 Late 2B GR8. I mean that as plainly as it reads. Not “it's cute to start late.” Not “better late than never,” said with a shrug. I mean the door you think closed on you is still open, and the only thing standing in front of it most days is you deciding it isn't.

So here's the invitation, and it's a real one. The GR8 List is where the honest stuff goes first — before it goes anywhere else, before it's polished for anybody but you. If you're the person who's been sitting on a dream long enough that it started to feel like a secret, that's exactly who this is for.
